“It is essential for the growth of healthy plants and for the conservation of water that compensations be made to promote a more efficient and wise use of water.”
While it reads like a new quote on water scarcity, it’s anything but. These words first appeared in the July 1979 issue of Weeds, Trees & Turf magazine in an article submitted by Aquatrols founder Robert Moore.
Years before the Internet, decades before “going green” hit the mainstream, heck, months before Team USA’s “Miracle on Ice,” Mr. Moore was championing the cause of water conservation.
“I don’t believe we’ll run out of water!” he wrote, “But I do believe we must stop wasting water. We must learn to use water efficiently.”
While our understanding of soil science and surfactant technology has evolved over the last 30 years, the driving force behind our mission has remained the same. Aquatrols has always aimed to improve plant health and promote a more responsible use of our most precious resource.
More than 50 years ago, Robert Moore created and patented Aquatrols’ first surfactant product. Today, with trailblazing products like Revolution, Aquatrols continues to lead the way in advancing surfactant technology and is consistently working with other organizations to develop new, water-saving techniques.
As we pause to look back, we are sure that Mr. Moore would be proud.
