As spring approaches you want to have the tools available to help your turf out of the winter doldrums and into spring vibrancy. Uniform soil moisture and balanced air-to-water ratios are critical in making sure your turf is healthy and strong coming out of winter dormancy.
Whether you need to seed or sod to repair winter damage, or just need to “wake up” the rootzone to get your turf off to a good start, don’t let water movement issues get in the way! Aquatrols puts you in control of water movement in the soil profile, even early in the season.
We offer a selection of soil surfactant tools to help get your course ready for play as quickly as possible. We can help you design a late winter/early spring program so your turf can rebound from winter and get in shape before the stress and disease pressures of summer begin.
Start your soil surfactant program now for better turf throughout the year!
Greens and Tees
Whether your winter has been wet or dry, starting a Revolution program early in the season will help optimize air-to-water ratios in the rootzone for a better growing environment and healthier turf. If it has been overly wet, Revolution will move excess water off of the surface and through the soil profile. If it has been dry, Revolution will ensure that any water applied to your turf – either through rainfall or irrigation – will move into and throughout the rootzone uniformly. A decade’s worth of research has shown that Revolution optimizes soil moisture, rain or shine.
Fairways
Dispatch and Sixteen90 provide economical soil surfactant options for large acreage areas like fairways. Dispatch puts your water to work for you, increasing water use efficiency and improving fertilizer performance. Dispatch Sprayable can be sprayed at 8 oz per acre weekly, 16 oz per acre every two weeks, or 24 oz per acre every three weeks. Dispatch Injectable can be injected through your irrigation system at 12-24 ounces per acre weekly. Sixteeen90 offers long-term protection against water repellency and can be applied at 16 ounces per acre every 90 days.
Recovery of Problem Areas
Winter can be hard on turf. Before you start a regular surfactant program, you may need to repair damage brought on by harsh winter conditions. Apply Aqueduct to your known problem areas to promote rapid recovery before instituting a preventative surfactant program. Aqueduct is available in liquid and SWDG formulations.
