Sustainability Upgrades to our New Jersey Facility

Last year, Aquatrols employees established a “Sustainability Committee,” made up of volunteers from every department. The committee was tasked with researching, identifying, and implementing strategies for reducing our environmental impact as we work to change the way the world grows.

Over the past few months, Aquatrols has been working with the New Jersey Clean Energy Program to upgrade some of the older equipment inside our Paulsboro, New Jersey headquarters. This week, workers from Hutchinson Heating and Plumbing replaced two of our older rooftop HVAC units. The new units are streamlined to work more efficiently, reducing both the cost and environmental impact related to heating and air conditioning our facility.

The HVAC upgrades are just the first in a series of investments Aquatrols will be making in 2014 to make our day-to-day operations more sustainable. Next on the agenda is lighting.

At the end of this month, all of the lighting inside our facility will be audited with older, energy-consuming fixtures replaced with high-efficiency LED bulbs. Stay tuned for more updates!

In the meantime, check out a few pictures from Tuesday’s HVAC installation from our Facebook page:
