Listen: How Can Soil Surfactants Benefit Lawn Care Operators?

Aquatrols’ Research Assistant Alex Duffy recently joined Brian Horn on the Lawncare Radio Network to discuss the benefits of adding a soil surfactant (or wetting agent) to a lawncare program.

Alex starts off by explaining that water doesn’t always move through the soil in the way that we think. He breaks down the natural characteristics and tendencies of water, which can lead to uneven wetting in the soil profile, contribute to water waste, and negatively impact the health and appearance of turfgrass.

Brian and Alex discuss how surfactants work to reverse issues with soil water repellency and improve irrigation efficiency to the benefit of both the lawncare operator and the homeowner.
