The Role of Wetting Agents in Autumn and Winter

There’s no denying it. Summer is over and autumn is officially upon us. Now that we’ve closed the book on September, sure signs of fall are creeping up everywhere. The days are growing shorter, the temperatures are getting cooler, and the leaves are starting to change.

Autumn brings with it plenty of changes for golf course superintendents and turfgrass crews. With fewer rounds and more favorable growing conditions, the focus shifts from maintenance and survival to renovation and recovery this time of year.

Though the stresses of summer are beginning to subside, water management is no less important as we head into October and beyond.

Our field agronomist Mica McMillan recently sat down with the Superintendent Radio Network to discuss the vital role that wetting agents play in autumn and early winter.
