Aquatrols featured prominently last week during the annual Tri Societies Meetings in Tampa, Florida. The meetings brought together more than 4,000 members of the American Society of Agronomy (ASA), the Crop Science Society of America (CSSA), and the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA).

Attendees included scientists, professionals, educators, and students from around the world. The theme for this year’s gathering was Water, Food, Energy and Innovation for a Sustainable World.

On Sunday Aquatrols Field Agronomist Mica McMillan presented a brief overview of the company’s new surfactant seed coating technology to a packed room as part of a “What’s New in the Turf Industry” workshop. Mica’s presentation was met with a flurry of questions from interested attendees.

On Monday morning, Aquatrols Marketing Communications Coordinator Michael Hanisco participated in a Social Media Symposium highlighting the important role of platforms like Twitter and Facebook in the classroom and in the field. The symposium concluded with a 30-minute question and answer panel in which presenters offered advice on getting started in the world of Social Media.

Meanwhile, Field Representative Anthony Duttle presented findings on Aquatrols’ IrrigAid® Gold agricultural soil surfactant during four separate sessions throughout the week. Duttle’s presentations centered on IrrigAid Gold’s ability to improve crop water efficiency and increase crop yields under deficit irrigation.

When they weren’t presenting, Aquatrols team members examined posters and sat in on educational sessions from students and educators alike. You can check out some photos from the week on our Facebook page.

Aquatrols’ participation in the Tri Societies Meetings is in line with its continued commitment to education in all of the industries it serves. You can find out where we’re headed next by visiting the Upcoming Events link on our website.
