Consider Giving the Gift of Water this Holiday Season

While it’s probably not number one on your Christmas wish list, a recent article from Lawn and Landscape reminds us that millions of children around the world are in dire need of clean drinking water this holiday season.

As global concern over water scarcity increases, there is a growing need for the resources and infrastructure associated with the pumping, cleaning and transporting of water in a number of areas around the world. As the article points out, it takes just as much work to put a gallon of water under a Christmas tree as it does an X-Box or Barbie Dream Car.

Give the Gift of Water

Luckily, there are a number of groups working to get water to those who need it most desperately. If you’re looking to make a meaningful impact this holiday season, read about two charities highlighted in the article – charity:water and The Water Project and consider donating if you can.

If you do make a donation, let us know about it. Tweet us or tell us on Facebook!
