The products used in preparation for the Ryder Cup were Farmura Porthcawl (50lts per hectare every 14 days) tank mixed with Farmura Premium K, Potash Plus, and a ‘nip’ of Ferrosol. This mix offered great presentation value on the Poa / Bent greens without producing growth flushes.
Soil moisture management is always a priority given the location of the site. To these ends Aquatrols Revolution is added to the mix for the greens and fore greens therefore enabling the Gleneagles staff to manage the soil moisture in the profile to the best of their ability.
The course has been widely praised by the golfing community for both performance and presentation. “We place great value in building a strong working relationship with the team at Gleneagles. The dedication and hard work of the staff and volunteers is a credit to them and helped to ensure worldwide acclaim,” commented Graham O’Connor, Area Sales Manager for Farmura.
