As much as we love New Jersey, it’s good to get out of the Garden State every once in a while to interact with fellow turf nerds around the world. This week, several members of the Aquatrols family are getting the chance to do just that.
This morning, our own Demie Moore was on hand at the third European Turfgrass Society Conference in Kristiansand, Norway. Aquatrols proudly served as a sponsor for the event, which attracted attendees from 24 countries.
Demie presented the crowd of more than 125 students and scientists with an overview of Aquatrols’ history and our role in serving the turfgrass industry. Over the next few days, Demie will participate in a post-conference tour of the region and has promised to share some updates with us.
Meanwhile, Aquatrols team members Mica McMillan and Stan Kostka are currently attending the eighth symposium of the International Society for Root Research in Dundee, Scotland. The conference marks the 30th Anniversary of the Society’s founding and is the first meeting to be held in the UK. Aquatrols is proud to be a major sponsor of the historic 2012 event.
Throughout the week, Mica and Stan will present the Society with findings on two vital topics: 1.) How Dispatch reduces nitrogen leaching in soil and 2.) How surfactant seed coating may improve seedling germination and establishment in water repellent soils. You may recall that Aquatrols signed a recent CRADA to further develop surfactant seed coating technology.
Did you miss out on these conferences? Don’t worry. These are just two of the many research events Aquatrols will be participating in throughout the year. If you see us on the road, be sure to stop and say “hi!” Don’t forget to tell us how our presentations went on Twitter and Facebook.
