Aquatrols Corporation of America (“Aquatrols”), the leading provider of surfactant and other technologies used to optimize soil-water-plant interactions, announced its recent alliance with Rural American Fund (“RAF”), an independent investment fund located in Chicago, Illinois focused on companies in ag-related businesses. For 60 years, Aquatrols has been a leader in developing and supplying products to help growers manage their water resources more effectively. Aquatrols will be the first platform investment in RAF’s second fund, Rural American Fund II, L.P.
“The Rural American Fund’s partnership approach…will move us closer to our vision of changing the way the world grows.”
Aquatrols offers a complete line of soil surfactants and other specialty products for use in the agricultural, turfgrass, and horticultural industries. The company’s products are used by farms, golf courses, nurseries, greenhouses, and other applications in more than 35 countries around the world.
Aquatrols is headquartered in Paulsboro, NJ with additional operations in the United Kingdom.
The partnership will help advance Aquatrols’ strategic objective of increasing crop water productivity for a larger number of users worldwide. The company’s team of scientists and technical professionals continually develop more effective water and soil management solutions through a robust research and development program.
Company President Tracy Moore Jarman commented, “We are very pleased to have created this alliance. The Rural American Fund’s partnership approach, resources and experience will help facilitate our continued growth in agricultural and other markets – and move us closer to our vision of changing the way the world grows in order to produce more with less.”
Andy Moore, Aquatrols Director of Sales, noted “This investment in the future will have benefits for both our customers and employees. Carrying on what our father Robert Moore started in 1955, Aquatrols’ customers will continue to have access to innovative, reliable, high performance products backed by an experienced sales team, research staff, and customer support; and employees will have more opportunities as Aquatrols grows toward its full potential.”
Demie Moore, who fulfills a Corporate Relations role, adds “This is a very exciting step for us in regard to our ongoing desire to achieve broader use of Aquatrols’ technologies for more effective and sustainable water use in green industries worldwide, and longevity for the company.”
The transaction will be seamless to customers, employees and suppliers, as RAF will not be involved in management nor in day-to-day operations, according to Jarman who will remain as President. All management and staff will remain in place as well. Company headquarters will remain in Paulsboro, New Jersey and the UK operations will continue to be based in Ashford, Kent, UK.
Tom Karlson, Principal of the Rural American Fund stated, “We are thrilled to partner with the Aquatrols team. Water management is one of RAF’s target investment areas and Aquatrols has an outstanding reputation for product efficacy, R&D and customer service in this field. As with all our investments, we look forward to assisting Aquatrols in the execution of its strategy via the experience of RAF’s principals and strategic limited partners in the ag markets.”
