Listen: Tips for Managing Soil Salinity Issues

In a previous podcast on the Superintendent Radio Network, Aquatrols’ Larry Lennert discussed the basics of water quality as it relates to the growth of healthy turfgrass. Lennert stressed that testing irrigation water is an important first step for superintendents.

However, the process does not end there. Superintendents who are dealing with poor water quality must also test their soil to see if problems exist below the surface.

In the second part of his discussion with Kyle Brown, Mr. Lennert examines soil salinity tests and looks at management practices that can help alleviate the issues caused by poor irrigation water quality.
